Boho?

More Goodies!!
I just took these beauties out of the kiln and thought maybe I would make a boho necklace with them.
I am thinking about connecting them with these oh so cool wire circles that I made and enameled.  Maybe I will etch the beads….not sure.  Lots of projects to get to so get out there and enjoy your Friday!  Happy Weekend!

Treasure

Hmmm…..what to do with these treasures!

I love enameling almost as much as I love to make glass beads.  There is an awesome hardware store that is a little drive from my house that carries everything!  While most of the patrons in there are looking for hard to find plumbing, electrical, and building supplies, I am always perusing the aisles for items I can incorporate into my craft.  On occasion they carry nice big thin sheets of copper that I can cut with regular scissors.  I usually snap that right up and use it for my enameling projects!  LOVE!!!!  Well off to the studio to see what I can create today!
 Have a good one!

Belated Mother's Day

Happy belated Mother's Day to all the moms out there and especially to my mom who has been gone 18 years....hard to believe it has been that long!
I know she has the penthouse in heaven....I just know it!  She and my dad raised 5 kids and held down professional careers....Bravo to you both!  These flowers are for you mom :)

Rainy Days

Poor Luna….we had a deluge of rain last weekend and she could not stand being inside!
She sat at the back door of my studio just staring out at the lake patiently waiting for the rain to stop.
It was a good steady rain that just seemed to go on and on.  No complaints from me though…..my flowers are loving every minute of it.  We are hitting 90 degrees this week so it looks like summer is slowly getting its grip on us.
We had a nice long, cool spring so I very thankful for that!

Wine and peace

Yes…..long day so I treated myself to a nice glass of wine!
I attended a dear high school friend’s mother’s funeral today.
It was a beautiful Mass and oddly enough it was in the church that I married my sweet husband nearly 28 years ago!
A couple more of our high school friends attended as well so that was really cool!  I went to a private school so we are a close knit graduating class that keep in touch….love that!
I came home and jumped right on the torch.  Blowing glass gives me such peace and relaxes me more than anything else I do!
Happy Tuesday!

Sweetest Faces

Aren’t these two the sweetest faces ever?  I was working on my laptop and they were laying right next to me….I just had to snap this picture!  They are my loves!  My hubby and I have owned rescue dogs all of our lives.  These 2 were at 2 separate rescue shelters and we adopted them at 6 and 8 weeks.  I try and make donations to the places that take in stray animals when I can.  They are so awesome for saving these precious creatures lives.

We have been having the worst thunderstorms here in Florida almost every day!  The lightning has been fierce!  We are quite used to lightning but sheesh!  It is getting started early this year!

Summer is here.

Well, it is official….I think our days of beautiful spring days are behind us.  We have hit 90 degrees a few days this week and I think the days of cool spring days are behind us.  I have been toying with some metal enameling trying to get some unique designs.  I love fusing glass on copper or brass.  Soooo pretty.  I just need to figure out how I want to incorporate them into some cool, unique jewelry designs.
This piece is called Maverick and it is now available in my Etsy shop.
